Yes. You are welcome to use the library's electronic resources and print books while on the CBU campus.  If you want to borrow books, you can register as an off-campus borrower (OCB) at the library's Circulation Desk. You will complete a form and present two pieces of identification providing proof of 1. Nova Scotia residency and 2. a photo.  

Your OCB card is valid for one year; renewable.

You will have access to:

  • general book collection (can borrow up to five books)
  • in-library access to electronic resources
  • in-library access to print journals and magazines
  • interlibrary loans (document delivery) service

You will not have:

  • borrowing privileges at other Novanet libraries
  • access to study or seminar rooms
  • access to course reserves
  • access to electronic resources from off-campus

Are you enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program? In addition to the above information:

  • you can borrow up to 15 books from the library's general book collection 
  • have borrowing privileges at Dalhousie University and Saint Mary's University
