Yes. You are welcome to use the library's electronic resources and print books while on the CBU campus.

If you want to borrow books, you'll register as an Off-Campus Borrower (OCB) by completing either the OCB or International Baccalaureate (IB) registration form (links below). On your first visit to the library you'll show either your N.S. driver's license or School ID to Circulation Desk staff in order to complete the registration.

Your OCB card is valid for one year; renewable.

You'll have access to:

  • general book collection (borrow up to five books)
  • in-library access to electronic resources
  • in-library access to print journals and magazines

You will not have:

  • borrowing privileges at other Novanet libraries
  • access to study or seminar rooms
  • access to course reserves
  • access to electronic resources from off-campus

Are you enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program? In addition to the above information, you:

  • can borrow up to 15 books from the library's general book collection
  • have borrowing privileges at Saint Mary's University and Dalhousie University's Killam, Kellogg, Law, and Sexton Libraries
